- Eat breakfast: You’ll need a lot of energy throughout the morning, and there’s no point burning out because you falter at the first hurdle.
- Shop early: Take a list, only buy what’s on the list, and get out before the shops get busy.
- Finish cleaning: Even if it’s just a quick vacuum and the bathrooms.
- Eat lunch: You’ve probably burned up your breakfast and it’s hours until dinnertime!
- Rest if possible: If you’re comfortable with your preparations, nap for an hour – it’s going to be a long night.
